# A few things look and feel better

A bit of work on how the game feels while you're playing, and what you see when a song ends.

## Streaks and backgrounds

The song backgrounds are working again. I've also been adjusting the sound and movement as a streak builds, so there's more room for it to develop on longer songs (still WIP though).

Here's some Ode to Joy. This one is an automated test run, but it gives you an idea of how things look and sound.

## The results screen

The results screen was getting a bit messy and inbalanced. I've moved things around to give the card and score a little more space, and make the rest easier to read etc.

**Before**

![The old results screen, with a Touchdown heading, boxed statistics and the playfield visible behind it.](https://keystreak.app/devlog/media/look-and-feel-before.webp)

*The old screen, partway through the reward animation.*

**After**

![The updated results screen, with the earned card on the left and the score, statistics and progression aligned on the right.](https://keystreak.app/devlog/media/look-and-feel-after.webp)

Large scores fit properly now too. Testing with longer MIDI files turned up some numbers that spilled way out of the panel, both during playing and on the scorecard afterwards.

That's all for today!
